The 21st Century Latino Agenda @ UCLA
The UCLA Latino Policy & Politics Initiative addresses the most critical domestic policy challenges facing Latinos and other communities of color through research, advocacy, mobilization, and leadership development to expand genuine opportunity for all Americans. On July 15 2020, the UCLA Latino Policy and Politics Initiative convened over 80 multigenerational and multisectoral Latinx leaders to discuss the biggest issues facing U.S. Latinos amid COVID-19. The end result is a Latino agenda focused on policy recommendations that can improve opportunities for all Latinos of color.

The 21st Century Latino Agenda will be disseminated to policymakers, elected officials, philanthropists, and other stakeholders. As the nation grapples with COVID-19, an assault on Black lives, and worsening economic inequality during a presidential election year, the agenda addresses the policy areas that directly impact the health and safety, political voice, and economic opportunity of Latinos and other communities of color.
The issues addressed in the agenda are:

- Economic Opportunity and Social Mobility
- Education
- Health and Social Safety Net
- Housing
- Immigrant Rights
- Voting Rights and Political Representation
